Where are you located?
Are these flags made to order?
Yes, all of our flags are made to order to ensure each and every flag we send out is not only unique and 1 of a kind, but matches our high quality standards. Flags are done in large batches and are fulfilled weekly, sometimes multiple times a week. Each flag takes about 4/5 days from start to finish between carving, charring, and curing. We do flags in batches to 1. keep consistency in quality and 2. To keep our orders going out in a timely manner.
How long does it take to get my flag?
We aim for a 1-3 week complete turnaround. As we grow our team of skilled woodworkers we try to speed up this process. Depending on your order time, you may receive it sooner (refer to batch process above). If there is any reason it will be later than that, we will send you an email with an update.
What kind of wood do you use?
Most of our wood is SPF (Spruce, Pine, Fir) and other softwoods from lumber yards & old homes/reclaimed shops. We use reclaimed wood in our flags, however, 100% of the wood we use is not reclaimed. Quality & consistency is very important to us and unfortunately some reclaimed wood doesn't work well in every application of the flag. For instance, for our union sections we noticed the best carving wood is general lumber so we use that for those stripes and sections.
Can my flags be hung outside?
We use a heavy grade, extremely durable polyurethane as a top coat. However, we do not coat the back of the flag. If you will have it in direct weather we recommend adding our Weather Proof Option on the product page.
Can I personalize my flag?
Yes you can. If you want any engravings, emblems, or any other personalized carvings, just shoot us an email at Tom@BuffaloReclaimed.com or fill out our contact page.
